As I reviewed my posts this week I notice how ‘religious” they are. I know a lot of people in this world right now view religion as bad. I understand this view, however, I think to come to this conclusion and implant it as part of one’s perception is a mistake. Today is the first day of the the new year in the Jewish calendar. The next 10 days are called The 10 Days of Awe. The past month was all about Teshuvah or Repentance. Here is a short video on these 10 days….. Our yoga journey’s destination is Samadhi (Union with Source/At-one-ment). Yom Kippur will be our celebration day for reaching our goal…
The Buddha realized, recognized, discerned, observed, concluded, that “every human being is a composite of five processes: four of them mental and one physical.” In our meditation work we have been focusing on sensation and reaction; awareness of sensation and equanimity in our reactions. I believe, this week, the next 10 days, is opportunity to focus on our perception. Specifically, to clean, purify, make new, return to Source. This Monday I will attempt to overlap a few of the “maps” we have become aware of. Re-read pages 25, 26 and 27 in the Vipassana book. Watch a portion of this video with Perception in mind. Start watching at minute 20:30 through to minute 49:00. We will do the “View from above” guided meditation together on Monday.
