The present objective of humanity’s endeavor is focused on fulfillment of desire through resolution, compromise, winning; ending up on top.  “It’s a dog eat dog world out there for Heaven’s sake.”  Survival of the Fittest…Right?  There has got to be a winner and a loser. Be the best version of who you are!  Look at who gets paid the BIG BUCKS…..The Quarterback, The Magical Midfielder, The 7’5 Center, Tiger….

Sure, there has been attempts at changing it. You know…everyone gets a trophy. It just doesn’t sit right with the way it is…does it….??

The shift that I think needs to happen is a hard one.   It is a significant change. Fundamental in nature.

From my own personal experience with inquiry I have done over the past 35 years and working with you over the past few years, I think a new objective  must be established.

A Drastic change.

Changing the objective is really like getting up from the present game and moving over to another field or board or court where the objective is now The Truth.  

Right away I would expect resistance from 99% of humans who read this or consider it.  Think of all the “Objections”……”Truth is relative”.  “Your truth is your truth and my truth is my truth.”  “Nobody can know The Truth so what’s the point?”  I’m sure you can think of more objections to changing up the game …

The reason the spiral dynamic map of human consciousness development is so important to check out is because it paints a picture of how we (humanity) got to this point and what may be the next phases.  

The map has an explanation for why all the chaos in the world right now and what is required for the shift to happen.  Unfortunately or Fortunately and perhaps Paradoxically  (it depends how you look at it) the shift happens on an individual level.  It is not a community or group effort.  Everyone is on their own.

“The Truth will set you Free” …………..  

Buckminster Fuller in his foreword of the reasons he wrote arguably, his most profound book….’Critical Path’: Bucky writes….

 “Because

A.) of my driving conviction that all of humanity is in peril of extinction if each one of us does not dare, now and henceforth, always to tell only the truth, and all the truth, and to do so promptly — right now.

Because

B.). I am convinced that humanity’s fitness for continuance in the cosmic scheme no longer depends on the validity of political, religious, economic, or social organizations, which altogether heretofore have been assumed to represent the many.

C.). Because contrary to B, I am convinced that human continuance now depends entirely upon:

(1)  The intuitive wisdom of each and every individual.

(2)  The individual’s comprehensive informedness.

(3)  The individual’s integrity of speaking and acting only on the         individual’s own within-self-intuited and reasoned initiative.

(4)  The individual’s joining action with others, as motivated only by the individually conceived consequences of doing so.

(5)  The individual’s never-joining action with others, as motivated only by crowd-engendered emotionalism, or by a sense of the crowd’s power to overwhelm, or in fear of holding to the course indicated by one’s own intellectual convictions.

The spiral dynamic map has 6 levels in Tier One. These levels are really Paradigm shifts in human consciousness development. In psychological talk like, for example Piaget, each level is a stage development, i.e. Sensorimotor to Pre-Operational to Operational to Post Operational. Stages in development represent a new perspective that is characterized by a deeper and wider understanding and ability to perform inquiry into your environment and yourself.

Humanity over the many thousands of years it has been on this planet have moved from Archaic to Magic to Mythic to Rational to Rational Modern to Post Rational to Post Modern Pluralistic.

Each Stage believes their perspective is the true and correct perspective and that anyone who “lives” in a different perspective is, at best, mostly wrong and in need of education. All of these stages of human development are in Tier 1 of the spiral dynamic map.

The Move that is now required is a move into Tier 2. This is where the objective changes from fulfillment of desire to realizing and remembering the Truth.

The Problem. And yes, I know some people don’t appreciate the word problem but I like it. I find it honest. I also see it more from a mathematical or scientific origin so I see a problem as something to be solutioned or solved or worked out. If you need to, and many of you will because the vast majority of us are currently living in the the uppermost phase of Tier 1 which is Green which is a community based phase which means there is a tremendous amount of peer pressure to stick to the story of Green which is best characterized by a famous quote….”Can’t we all get along” ……if you have to then change problem to challenge.

Anyways, back to the problem…..the problem is that to move to Tier 2 which means to change the objective to Truth requires that you experience the death of the ego which can be described as “The Dark Night of The Soul” for some of us. Because The Truth is that all the work of honing your “self”; of creating an identity that is “YOU”; of becoming the best version of You; has to be let go. Ego must be seen for what it is; A mental/emotional/physical and energetic construct. Only then can THE TRUTH replace desire for fulfillment as the object of the game.

Furthermore, the problem is exasperated because this process is not only difficult, it allows certain latent conditions of body and mind to arise. I think the best description is that we go through a GRIEF PROCESS when the EGO DIES. Everyone manifests symptoms differently. Some get depressed, some get angry, some get anxious or have panic attacks. Some form addictions or manifest illness and dis-ease. You go to a psychiatrist and they will tell you that you have Cognitive Dissonance and maybe Adjustment Disorder and you respond ….’No Shit! I could have told you that!”

At first, one foot is in Tier 1 and one foot is stepping into the Yellow Phase; The first Phase in Tier 2. It totally feels schizophrenic or even multiple personality.

Ken Wilber said, and I am paraphrasing……”You can have a “state” experience in a higher stage but you can’t live there. You can visit stages through a state experience but you must come back to the stage you live in. You must earn the stage.”

So, the problem. as you can see, is who would really choose to make this move into Tier 2? Only those who get a glimpse of The Truth and realize it is more important than their tribe’s current narrative or those who experience some kind of Trauma like an illness or bad accident or loss or even something positive like tremendous success or fame or recognition.

I was blessed with that kind of Trauma when I got Diabetes at age 14. Insulin shots for the rest of my now shortened life. Felt like I went 10 pegs down when it came to competing with my friends on the field, rink or golf course. I could go on but, in the beginning, and for a long time after it was a lot of suffering and I just saw it all as a curse.

But now, I see that, perhaps, it was meant to be this way. The Trauma of the dis-ease and all that it came with vectored me on a different course direction which has landed me here, right now writing to you, who have read this far, to be able to tell you that we are ready to make a quantum leap in our development. And I am not just saying it. I feel like I am living it. Can you feel it yet?

I have been in Yellow checking out all the maps so you don’t have to. I am ready to move into Turquoise with those who want to Transcend, Awaken and Ascend.

The move from Green to Yellow is the most difficult, seemingly irrational and yet necessary stage leap that must be made. Only about 10% of us need to achieve this stage change in order to positively affect all of humanity. But in order to do it we/you must take Buckminster Fuller’s advice. It is a move from group think to your higher self. Think of Tier one development as aligning the first three Koshas or the first 5 Chakras…Once you have accomplished this then you have created a “portal” by which you may connect to your higher self…..your Soul….Spirit…Creator…..

It is the next step toward Samadhi.

The purpose of Creation does not lie in any higher spiritual or metaphysical world. The purpose of Creation can be found right here, right now, in this three dimensional Physical Existence we live in.

The Creator charged us (the souls of humanity) with the task of brightening up our otherwise dim world by channeling “His Light?”

It is our “mission” to discover holiness within the mundane; the supernatural within the natural; the spiritual within the physical?

If we accept this mission, perhaps, we might be cultivate the ability to decode the apparent and distorted mumbo-jumbo-chaos-Maya-delusion.

In so doing, we will channel an intense light and reveal how this world is actually holier than any that is beyond it?

The next several blog posts will involve an inquiry into this hypothesis utilizing several “maps of the territory.”

This is the third and final post in the cycle of development of the soul from the Kabbalistic perspective.

The third stage – Gadlut (the large state). This is the adult state. The knowledge a person has acquired gives him the strength to exist independently, and this is equivalent to an adult in our world.

He depends on society and the people around him, but no longer on his parents. He himself possesses the light Hochma, and he is able to perform a Zivug, give birth, as well as raise and fill with light another lower Partzuf – his son.

He now has his own experience and reason that allow him to exist independently. In addition he is able to pass this experience on to another person.

The spiritual object (a soul) goes through the same spiritual processes as a person of this world does, or through processes that correspond to the ones a person in our world goes through.

The difference is only the material: whether it is egoistic or altruistic. However, it is precisely this difference that makes all spiritual events completely incomprehensible to us. The reason for this is that we completely lack any understanding of the altruistic nature.

Every person’s soul repeatedly incarnates or returns into this world (or clothes into the body of this world). This reincarnation continues until the soul has fully attained the entire Kabbalistic knowledge; because without this knowledge, the soul cannot grow and receive everything the Creator has designed to give it.

The reason the soul is obligated to attain the Science of Kabbalah is not that the knowledge itself enlarges the soul. Rather, the soul must attain this science because of the nature of the soul: without having knowledge – Ohr Hochma (the light Hochma) – the soul is not capable of achieving the level or height for which it was created by the Creator.

Thus a person’s soul does not grow by acquiring knowledge. Rather a person’s soul has an inner attribute that does not allow a person to make himself grow with his own two hands before he has assimilated the entire spiritual nature and acquired all the necessary spiritual knowledge.

The soul’s growth completely depends on the degree of knowledge it acquires.

If the soul could grow without receiving the Upper light or knowledge of the Creator, then it would harm itself.

It would acquire increasingly greater desires without knowing how to use them correctly. This is equivalent to a person in our world: if a 20-year-old person’s level of intellectual development still remains on the level of a one-year-old child, then he can do horrible things. This would be strength without reason, and it is dangerous for the person and for the people around him.

This can never occur in the spiritual. A person acquires the ability to perform spiritual actions only to the degree he is corrected, or to the degree of spiritual knowledge he has received.

A person’s age is determined by the degree of his reception of spiritual light. Therefore a person who has not developed spiritually lives and dies physically without having begun to live spiritually.

There exist bodies that have not given birth to souls and that have not achieved the creation of a spiritual Kli. Therefore our world is full of two-legged bodies; but unfortunately there are very few souls in them.

The amount of light that enters the soul determines the Partzuf’s height.

It can exist in a laying-down position, as a newborn: his legs, arms, torso and head are all located on the same level. The head does not have any advantage over the legs: all the spiritual body parts or all desires have only one minimal screen and, correspondingly, a minimal light.

Therefore, the head does not differ from the legs. It is equivalent to a baby or a sleeping person, meaning that the mind is not manifested.

In Kabbalah, a horizontal position means that there is only Ohr Hassadim (the light Hassadim) and there is no Ohr Hochma (light Hochma), which enters the Partzuf correspondingly to the screen. The initial stage of spiritual development begins with the “lying–down” position, as a newborn baby.

The second stage is when he is already sitting, but the legs do not yet have the strength to hold him up.

The extensions, or the ends of the desires to receive pleasure have not yet been corrected; they do not yet have a screen and they cannot create boundaries or restrictions on their own reception of big light.

In the spiritual state of “lying down,” all 10 Sefirot of a person’s soul are evaluated as having a single light, or one minimal screen. A newborn baby does not have knowledge and therefore he does not, and should not, have the strength to move around.

Only the light Hochma gives the soul (Partzuf) spiritual strength. Most of its development does not occur by receiving light from its parents without its own efforts; but rather development takes place as a result of the Partzuf’s own good deeds or actions.

“Good deeds” – means to receive light with the help of the screen, in opposition to one’s own egoism. One’s ability to do this depends on one’s attainment of Kabbalah. That is, the main factor of growth is the function of good deeds, and they depend on the assimilation of Kabbalah, or the reception of knowledge from the upper Partzuf.

Each soul’s knowledge allows it to attain all the other souls: beginning with their initial state called “the soul of Adam” and ending with the final correction of all the souls.

This is equivalent to the way a person attains the entire world: he attains humanity’s nature, mentality, habits and everything around him. Based on this knowledge, he safeguards himself from harm that may come from nature and people around him, and he connects with and grows closer to people who assist in his growth.

It should not be surprising that a single soul is able to attain all the souls. The same thing applies to a person in our world: if he is wise, he is able to attain the nature of all humanity by attaining himself because every part of creation includes the elements of all its other parts.

A person does not have a single attribute that other people do not also have. Every person has all of humanity’s attributes, even if he has them to the minimal degree.

Every person is slightly a murderer, slightly a rapist, a womanizer, a scientist, a fool, a pious man, an atheist, etc. Everything is contained in each person!

When a person works to spiritually perfect himself, he begins to perceive all of these attributes in himself and, as he perceives each of them to be egoistic, he gradually realizes their evil for himself.

When the perception of this evil reaches the maximum and unbearable threshold, a person voluntarily rejects this attribute as one that is harmful. This way, step by step, he corrects himself.

A person perceives another person’s attributes to be natural only if he has discovered and felt them inside of himself. That is, if he has become aware of their presence inside of himself.

How often do we see people who possess negative attributes, yet they do not even suspect this fact and do not perceive it within themselves. At the same time they cannot tolerate these attributes in other people.

With the help of studying Kabbalah, a person begins to attain who he really is and therefore he gains the ability to tolerate others and to forgive them, because he realizes that he possesses the same things as they do.

Why does he become tolerant of others? Because he perceives that they are not capable of getting rid of their negative attributes. He begins to love others to the degree that he realizes his own insignificance, because he sees himself in them.

Since all parts of creation consist of all the other parts (after all we are separated only by egoistic intentions, while our souls comprise one single spiritual body called “the soul of Adam”), when a person corrects himself he corrects the whole world. This applies to each one of us.
